Mom Routines. You probably either love them or hate them. Live by them, or only use them occasionally. Northwestern Medicine says that routines help us to manage our stress, sleep better, eat healthier, and be more active, so maybe it’s time to give routines another try.
A routine is more like an order that you do things each day whereas a schedule assigns a time to each task or event. In our Mum Speak opinion, a routine should help your stress levels, not add to them. If a routine stresses you out – don’t do it. Or do it, but just for one thing like maybe a bedtime routine.
